I was born and raised just outside Boston Massachusetts. I relocated here with my husband and children in 2011. I have always been interested in Home Decor and furnishings. I love to look at a space and figure out how I can make it warmer and more welcoming. I started refurbishing furniture and home decor over this past year and it has truly become my passion (if not my obsession). I enjoy watchin

Hello everyone. Most of my days lately have been taken up by the building of our house at the beach. But, I still love to try and find time to create special one of a kind pieces of furniture that people can use as statement pieces in their home. I had fun refinishing this small set of drawers and using the beautiful furniture transfer Blossom Flight.

The third and fourth photos are of a table and chair set that I just refinished to stage in my own home when we move this summer. I love the round shape of the table and the chairs I reupholstered add a warm touch to the room.

Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve logged on and updated what’s been happening. For the last couple of months I’ve been up in Boston emptying out and cleaning my parents house before putting it on the market. It’s been exhausting physically and mentally. Going through all the photos and a lifetime of memories. We are getting close to the end and the house will be listed next week. So, I had a few down hours so I decided to refinish a small chest of drawers my mom had. I painted it white first and then applied a Re-design by Prima Transfer called Vigorous Violet. I had never used these before. This particular one comes in 6 separate sheets. I knew how I wanted it to look with the flowers cascading down and across the piece. So, there was lots of cutting and piecing together to get the look I wanted. Patience was definitely needed to complete this one for sure. Loving the final result!

There are some pieces I come across that I just fall for. After I’ve done them, I simply can’t part with them. I think this is one of those pieces. This is a vintage sewing cabinet. It has the inner tray for threads and needles and such. I’m going to use is as a jewelry chest in my master bedroom. This bold color is a custom mix I made from Coral Crush and Persimmon. Who doesn’t love a pop of color?

I haven’t posted in a while. Happy New Year to all. A new year and I’m back to painting. The first piece I have completed is simple, farmhouse, elegant and beautiful. It’s a solid wood dresser that is painted Alabaster and wax sealed. Sometimes you don’t need to go over the top on a piece to bring out its natural beauty.

I have had two beautiful mirrors hanging in our master bath since we moved into our house. With the bathroom renovations almost complete I wanted to see if there was a way of still using them even though the entire color scheme has changed. With the walls now painted a pretty shade of gray, the gold gilding in the frame didn’t quite do it. I happen to love mixed metal looks. So, I thought I would try going over the existing gilding with a silver metallic paste gilding. I didn’t want complete coverage. So, I wiped it back after letting it sit for a few minutes. I was left with a beautiful silver tone with almost a copper feel peaking through. I think they will go nicely now with the newly finished bathroom. As soon as the transformation is complete, I will post some before and after photos! Stay tuned!!

I wanted to give you all a quick update on the vanity transformation. I’m loving the deep dark gray color. Can’t wait to reveal the whole bathroom transformation.

Hey All. It’s been a while since my last post. I finally completed the most labor intensive paint project I’ve ever done. I will deliver to my wonderful customer tomorrow. Hoping and praying she loves what I’ve done. Stay tuned for photo. 😊
