Many of our Kleb Intermediate teachers, specialists, and administrators showed up in full force today at the Klein ISD PLC Forward Conference, proving that learning never stops, even for educators! 📚✨ When our staff invests in their growth, our Bearcubs win, and today was all about bringing back fresh strategies, innovative ideas, and renewed energy to make our classrooms even more amazing! We're so proud to be part of a school community where excellence isn't just taught - it's modeled every single day by our dedicated team!

Our talented art students brought home an incredible collection of awards from the Junior VASE Art Competition, and we couldn't be prouder! Congratulations to our 8th graders: Caleb Hodges (Red Ribbon), Ellery Shurtliff (2X Blue Ribbons), Leonard Perez (2X Blue Ribbons), Jalissa McClean (Blue Ribbon AND Platinum Ribbon!), Addie Gunter (Blue Ribbon), Emmett Vela (Red Ribbon), and Anna Amador (Blue Ribbon), plus 7th grader Sofia Ghenaim (2X Blue Ribbons)! These Bearcubs demonstrated exceptional creativity and skill, representing Kleb with pride—thank you to our outstanding art teachers for nurturing such talent! And the fun didn't stop there—our art students also enjoyed an epic field trip to Hurricane Harbor, making memories and celebrating a fantastic year together!

Congratulations to our outstanding 6th-grade HEROES Academy graduates who just completed an incredible year of leadership training with Mrs. Velasquez and Officer Perez! These exceptional Bearcubs met every week to build character, strengthen core values, and develop the leadership skills that will make a difference in our school and community. Way to go, HEROES! 🐻💙

In observance of Memorial Day, all Klein ISD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 25. 🇺🇸
We honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Students and staff will return on Tuesday, May 26.

This week's Staff Spotlight shines brightly on Ms. Lisa Hardin! 🌟

If there's anyone who embodies the phrase "Klein through and through," it's Ms. Hardin! From walking the halls of Wunderlich Intermediate and Klein Forest as a student, to raising her three incredible kids who attended Brill, Kleb, and Klein, she's been woven into the fabric of our community for the majority of her life. Klein isn't just where she works—it's home.

After dedicating years to being a devoted stay-at-home mom and PTO powerhouse, Ms. Hardin decided it was time to chase her lifelong dream of helping children in a new way. She started subbing at Kleb, and it was love at first day! She couldn't stay away, returning day after day until fate led her to the ACCESS classroom. That's when everything clicked. The connection was so powerful that she immediately pursued her Special Education certification, and since spring 2022, she's been an irreplaceable part of our Kleb family.

But wait—there's more! This Louisiana-born, Klein-raised powerhouse doesn't just inspire in the classroom. For three years, she's brought energy and spirit to our sidelines as one of our phenomenal cheer coaches, and we're thrilled she's coming back for another year!

When she's not changing lives at school, you might find Ms. Hardin dominating the tennis court, pounding the pavement on a run, or carving down the slopes on skis. Her zest for life is contagious, and her passion for our students is unmatched.

Ms. Hardin, thank you for choosing Kleb, for loving our ACCESS students so fiercely, and for being the kind of educator who makes every day brighter. You're a true superstar!

Science just got COOL at Kleb - literally! 🧪
Our 8th grade scientists took learning to the next level today by exploring the carbon cycle hands-on with dry ice bubbles and presenting innovative solutions to climate change! These Bearcubs are proving that they're not just learning about our planet, they're becoming the problem-solvers and change-makers our world needs. Way to combine curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, Bearcubs!

🎭 Our current and future theater students experienced pure magic today when Alley Theatre brought "The Midnight Shakespeare Club" to life right here at Kleb! As a proud partner school with the Alley Theatre, our Bearcubs got an up-close look at professional storytelling, incredible performances, and the power of live theater. From backstage meet-and-greets to front-row inspiration, this experience reminded us that at Kleb, we don't just learn about the arts—we LIVE them! 🐻✨

Our 6th grade Humanities students just leveled up creativity by designing original board games inspired by their 4th Quarter novels! From strategic gameplay to imaginative storytelling, these Bearcubs proved that learning is always an adventure when you combine literature with innovation. As Effie Trinket would say, "May the odds be ever in your favor!" Way to show that Kleb students are creative thinkers, collaborative learners, and passionate readers! 🐻📚
