A quick travel tip from Jordan and me after our recent trip to Portugal...

Europe has implemented a new digital Entry/Exit System, and while it's designed to make travel easier in the future, it's still working through some growing pains.

We experienced it firsthand.

When we arrived in Europe, it took us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get through immigration. We watched several travelers miss their connecting flights because they simply didn't have enough time between flights.

On our return trip, we had a 2 hour and 30 minute layover and still found ourselves rushing to make our next flight.

We're not sharing this to scare anyone. We just want our travelers, friends, and family to be prepared.

If you're planning a trip to Europe:
✈️ Give yourself extra time on connections.
✈️ Those 90-minute layovers that used to work may not be enough right now.
✈️ Expect longer immigration lines as airports and travelers adjust to the new system.

The good news? Europe is still amazing, and we wouldn't change our trip for anything.

Just plan ahead, allow yourself some breathing room, and you'll be much less stressed if the lines are longer than expected.

We care about our travelers, and if sharing our experience helps even one person avoid missing a flight, it's worth it.
