Drink The Sea isn't just a bandβit's a global musical journey.
Featuring Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season), Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age), Duke Garwood (Mark Lanegan Band), and percussionist Lisette Garcia, this remarkable collaboration brings together some of the most respected musicians in rock and world music.
What started as a jam session in Olympia, Washington grew into an international recording project spanning Iceland, Brazil, Chile, California, and Spain. Their music blends rock, folk, and world music influences with instruments like sitar, oud, gamelan, marimba, kalimba, and more to create a sound that is both expansive and deeply moving.
