Teen Librarian JJ read Bhai for Now by Maleeha Siddiqui. Shaheer has just moved to DC and started at another new school when he meets Ashar, who looks exactly like him! Both are so different, but have the same want: to get to know the parent they have yet to meet. JJ thought this book reminded her of the movie The Parent Trap with a different twist.

The Silence That Binds Us by Joanna Ho is a 2025 YRCA Senior Division nominated and 2024-25 Evergreen Teen Book Award High School nominated book. Teen Librarian JJ has previously review this book and here is what she said: The Silence That Binds Us by Joanna Ho focuses on May, whose family has just gone through the death of her brother. While JJ found this book sad, she found the messaging around racism enlightening.
