Thoughtful design isn’t just a collection of things we do.
It’s also a collection of things we choose not to do.

We don’t believe luxury is measured by price tags. Every trend doesn’t deserve a place in your home. And not every possibility needs to be pursued simply because it exists.

Design is an act of discernment.

The most meaningful homes are the ones where every decision feels intentional, every space supports the people who live there, and everything belongs.

In the end, our work is not about creating rooms that impress.

It’s about creating homes that feel unmistakably yours

Soon, this room will be filled with warmth, personality, memories, and life. For now, it is framing, sawdust, and exposed wiring.

There’s months of planning, hundreds of decisions, and multiple trades that collaborate to make a vision come true.

The construction site says one story, the render tells another.

Every project has moments where glimpses of the future become visible, in the messy middle where vision and construction overlap.
Watching that transformation with our clients never gets old.

A basketball game at sunset.

Dinner under the stars.

A quiet corner to curl up and read a good book.

A place to gather around a fire after the kids have gone to bed.

The most successful outdoor spaces aren’t designed around a single feature. They’re designed around the many ways a family wants to spend time together.

For this Redmond backyard, every area has a purpose. Thoughtful lighting extends the experience into the evening, allowing the landscape to feel just as inviting after dark as it does during the day.

Still in the design phase, but already beginning to tell the story of how this family hopes to live outdoors.

The hardest part of wellness is consistency.

That’s why the design of a home gym matters.

When a space feels calm, welcoming, and beautiful, showing up becomes easier. Working out feels less like an obligation and more like a ritual woven into daily life.

For this client, wellness meant creating a place for movement, recovery, and reflection. A gym designed to motivate. A sauna designed to restore. Together, they form a space that supports both physical health and a quieter sense of balance.
Here you see the construction progress. The space is still becoming itself, but it already holds the feeling we set out to find.

Mlue, as it turns out, is the exact feeling of a space where blue has been used with just enough depth, just enough quiet, to become something harder to name than a color on a paint swatch.

Imagine starting your morning here.
The soft, warm glow of backlit mirrors.
The glimmer of aged brass catching the light.
Luscious green that makes you feel like you’re on vacation.

This is Ethereal Weave — a bathroom designed to be an experience rooted in the calm of daily rituals.

This transformation proves one thing: outdoor spaces deserve the same design attention as interiors

My client has always collected textiles - the kind brought home from travels, gathered slowly, kept close. The weave of a fabric, the irregularity of an ikat pattern, the way handcraft holds memory and meaning across time. It felt right that her bathroom should carry the same.

Ethereal Weave began not with a mood board but with a conversation about what she loves and how she lives. The ikat-like wallcovering became the room’s quiet thesis- a surface that moves in the light, rewards a second look, and grounds the space in a language entirely her own.

The cabinets remained. Everything else was reimagined: deep verdant walls, layered warmth from backlit mirrors, handcrafted clay sconces, and the steady glow of a fireplace. A sculptural tub positioned to hold that warmth. And a broad expanse of chocolate stone at the vanity - designed not for efficiency, but as a place for her morning rituals, her journal, her stillness.

What was once ordinary is now a sanctuary. And in every material, every detail, it is unmistakably hers.

When was the last time you actually spent time in your backyard?

Not just walked through it on your way inside. Not looked at it from the kitchen window. But truly lingered there- coffee in the morning, dinner outside with friends, long conversations around the firepit, a quiet moment at the end of the day?

In the Pacific Northwest, people often blame the weather. But more often, outdoor spaces go unused because they were never designed for the realities of the climate. Covered seating that allows you to stay outside even during light rain. Heaters that extend the season well beyond summer. Lighting that makes the space feel warm and inviting as dusk settles in.

The outdoor spaces people naturally gravitate toward tend to feel layered and intentional. Comfortable seating, thoughtful layouts, soft planting, and materials that feel connected to the architecture of the home itself.

This carousel explores some of the details that help outdoor spaces feel far more inhabitable year round. Please save this for when you’re ready to give your backyard some love.

This Queen Anne Craftmsan was stunning with its mature greenery, generous outdoor space, and strong architectural presence. However, the outdoor living spaces were in serious need of some TLC, and felt disconnected from the rhythm and personality of the home.

Our approach was to create an outdoor living experience that felt layered, welcoming, and deeply integrated with its surroundings. Soft tonal upholstery, graphic outdoor rugs, all weather furnishings, and muted washes of color were selected to complement both the lush landscape and the character of the home.

Now, the outdoor spaces feel immersed in the landscape. A place where morning light filters softly through the trees, where color and texture echo the garden beyond, and where the boundaries between indoors and outdoors begin to dissolve.
