100% volunteer run non-profit org providing 100% free literacy tutoring to learners of all ages. This program uses the phonics-based Laubach literacy method.

KALP, with WELCOME’S sponsorship and fiscal support, remains dedicated to reduction of functional illiteracy in the greater Kingman area through services provided by trained volunteer tutors, at no cost to students, in order to improve quality of life, enhance employability and ultimately reduce poverty. The all-volunteer tutor staff have provided Kingman area residents with no fee tutor services

Help a child learn to read! We are looking for volunteers to become tutors for our small group reading tutoring for 2nd-6th grade kids. Tutoring will take place on Fridays at the Mohave Community College Library on Jagerson Avenue. Don't worry about experience - we've got your back with training, materials, and lesson plans galore!

KALP provides services free of charge to adults and children in Kingman to improve English reading skills and prepare for GED exams.

KALP is a member organization of the Workplace Education and Literacy Coalition of Mohave County (WELCOME, Inc.), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
