That’s because it was grown in plastic. Which acts like a jail for root systems. No oxygen, & no space forces baby plants to rush to reproduction before they are ready. They look good above the soil at such a young age, but underneath they are incredibly stressed. These are not healthy plants, they are rushing to the biological finish line because they hate it here.

Who is the best companion plant? We think it’s marigolds. They bloom early & often, don’t need a lot of space and are a pollinator favorite. But what about a companion plant’s companion? That’s where a Kelp Pot comes in. A good companion supports the roots. They provide nutrients and get out of the way when they’ve been outgrown.
