🌟 Cooking With Love Delivery Driver of the Week: Maryann Westerlund 🌟

This week, we are proud to recognize Maryann Westerlund for her extraordinary dedication, compassion, and service to our community.

For over 27 years, Maryann has gone above and beyond as a volunteer delivery driver and support staff, ensuring that meals and essential support reach those who need them most. Her commitment to helping others extends far beyond her volunteer service. Even before joining our delivery team, Maryann was personally purchasing bags of groceries and delivering them to seniors and families experiencing food insecurity.

Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication have touched countless lives throughout the Keys. Maryann exemplifies what it means to care for your neighbors and strengthen our community through service.

Thank you, Maryann, for your many years of compassion, your selfless spirit, and the difference you make every single day. You are truly an inspiration to us all! ❤️

Our Cooking With Love and MCC Key West volunteers got up early and helped host the amazing Plogging The Keys volunteers as they cleaned up our Meadows neighborhood and were treated to breakfast goodies afterwards.

Come on out this morning and Plog 8am-9am! Keep our island city clean and get your steps in. Hosted today by MCC Key West and our ministry Cooking With Love and it’s corporate partner Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida

What an exciting and memorable day at Cooking with Love! 👑🇬🇧

We were honored to welcome British Queen Mum Claire Brummell to today’s meal preparation and delivery service. What a special moment for our volunteers, staff, and community! Claire has been a longtime supporter of the annual Queen Mother Pageant, which has helped raise funds and awareness for Cooking with Love for many wonderful years.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the 40th Queen Mother Pageant such a fun, successful, and meaningful event supporting our mission of feeding neighbors in need throughout the Keys.

Today’s delicious meal featured teriyaki beef, fried rice, tomato and cucumber salad, egg roll, and a sweet mandarin orange for dessert. Yum! 🍊🥢

For the past year, Stephanie has been giving her time, energy, and heart to Cooking With Love and helping deliver nutritious meals and smiles to members of our community.

Dedicated volunteers like Stephanie are the reason we can continue our mission of serving seniors, individuals battling illness, and neighbors in need throughout the Florida Keys. Thank you for your compassion, reliability, and commitment to making a difference one delivery at a time.

🌟 Cooking With Love NEW Volunteers of the Week 🌟

A huge thank you to this week’s amazing NEW volunteers — future Key West High student Ben, Lola Gomez from our incredible corporate partner Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, and Ben’s father John Tutlewski — for stepping up to help serve our community with kindness and compassion. ❤️

Today’s high-protein meal was a delicious favorite featuring BBQ chicken breast, mixed roasted vegetables, scalloped potatoes topped with a dramatic dash of parsley by MCC Key West Rev Gina Durbin and a sweet dessert generously provided by our food partner Starbucks on North Roosevelt Blvd and 7th in Key West☕🍰

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and partners, 238 boxed meals were prepared and delivered today, along with additional bulk meals to Samuel’s House and The Neece Center — bringing today’s total to an incredible 300 meals served to seniors and neighbors in need across our island community.

Every meal delivered is a reminder that compassion and community go hand in hand. Thank you to everyone helping Cooking With Love continue its mission of feeding hearts as well as homes. 💙
