Last night, after winning Vocalist of the Year, I went home and cried like a little baby (for real—Mitch has photo evidence). Being a shy, quiet person most of my life, I kept my love for singing to myself. But moving to Key West changed everything. This community gave me the courage to break out of my shell and share my voice, and I’m forever grateful for that.

My grandpa fell in love with key west when my mom was a bit younger than I am now, and every trip we took to visit kept my love for music alive. I didn’t care about the beach—I just wanted to sit at a bar (usually that old Hogs Breath tree overlooking the stage) watching the people I thought were superheroes.

To now call this place home and share my music with all of you is the biggest honor. Thank you for supporting me, encouraging me, and believing in me. You’ve helped me turn my dreams into my reality, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Here’s to another year of sharing my voice with you all, and continuing to make that little girl on the tree branch proud🫶🏻
