Mover & Shaker of the Day: Ana Hecht

Today’s Mover & Shaker of the Day on Jess Wachs’ “Shake Things Up” on Party 105.7 is Ana Hecht, a talented singer whose voice and spirit have become a cherished part of the Key West music scene.

Many know Ana from her Latin music performances, including her work at El Meson de Pepe El Meson de Pepe, Key West Florida, La Co**ha - Key West, and alongside guitarist Rolando Rojas. She’s also shared her talents at a variety of Rumble Productions events, always bringing passion, professionalism, and heart to the stage.

But Ana’s impact goes far beyond music. She’s a strong woman of integrity who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes is right. She has even shown up in court proceedings when called upon, supporting efforts to help make our community a safer place for women and help protect the hard working Key West music scene from scammers.

What’s especially remarkable is that she has balanced all of this while being a loving wife, devoted mother, and an artist who continues to push herself beyond her comfort zone in pursuit of growth.

Ana has recently moved on to her next chapter, but her impact on the Key West music community will not soon be forgotten. Through her music, her courage, and her commitment to others, she has left a lasting imprint on our island and on the people fortunate enough to know her.

We thank Ana for all she has contributed to Key West, and we wish her nothing but success, happiness, and adventure in the road ahead.

Mover & Shaker of the Day: Bria Ansara

Today’s Mover & Shaker of the Day is Key West singer-songwriter and entertainer Bria Ansara.

In a town known for great music, Bria has carved out a place all her own. For more than a decade, she has been one of the most recognizable voices on the island, bringing her signature blend of soul, jazz, blues, Motown, and pop to audiences from around the world. Whether performing an intimate ballad or getting an entire room on its feet, Bria has a gift for making every audience feel like part of the show.

But what truly makes Bria a mover and shaker is her consistency. Night after night, year after year, she has shown up to share her talent, helping create the vibrant live music culture that makes Key West such a special place. Through thousands of performances, she has become more than an entertainer—she has become part of the soundtrack of countless vacations, celebrations, friendships, and memories.

And tonight marks the end of a remarkable chapter. After more than 12 years of performing at the Bourbon Street Pub, Bria is retiring from her residency there. Tonight will be her final performance on that stage, bringing to a close one of the longest-running and most beloved residencies in Key West entertainment.

While her time at Bourbon Street Pub may be ending, her influence on the island’s music community certainly is not. Her dedication, professionalism, and passion have inspired fellow musicians and entertained generations of visitors and locals alike.

Congratulations, Bria Ansara, on an incredible run and a well-earned celebration of everything you’ve contributed to Key West. See her tonight from 8:30-?? at Bourbon St. Pub for her last show!

Mover & Shaker of the Day: Jayesh Mani

Today’s Mover & Shaker of the Day is Jayesh Mani, better known around Key West as the “Selfie King.”

If you’ve been to a community event, chances are you’ve seen Jayesh—and probably seen him taking selfies with just about everyone in the room. As part of the family behind Mom’s Best Meals, he helps deliver authentic Indian food all over the island, often meeting customers wherever is convenient.

What makes the business especially unique is its mission. Most meals are priced at around $10 or less, helping make good food accessible to more people. Even better, tips are directed toward charitable efforts, including helping feed members of the homeless community.

Jayesh is also one of Key West’s biggest supporters. From concerts and art shows to fundraisers and community gatherings, he seems to be everywhere, cheering on local musicians, artists, nonprofits, and small businesses. His enthusiasm for bringing people together has made him a familiar and welcome face throughout the island.

Whether he’s delivering a meal, supporting an event, or snapping another selfie, Jayesh helps strengthen the connections that make Key West special.
