I met at Toastmasters in the summer of 2022. She was our Area Director, lived/lives in Miami. We connected immediately (exhibit A).
She came to my TEDx Talk last summer. Last week she sent me an audio message that made me stop what I was doing and just listen.
That’s Real Connection. Just two people who recognized each other and decide to keep showing up. It’s about whether someone feels safe enough to be fully themselves and vice versa.

A few weeks ago at Higgs Beach, I watched a seagull take off from the sand.
Right before its feet left the sand, the wings went faster, way faster than 5 seconds after take off.
Then it was up. Smooth.
