I had a great time playing at Hanks Hair of The Dog last night! Great crowd! Lots of requests, which I absolutely LOVE!!!

There was one request that came in for a song I only recently became familiar with:

Jason Isbells “If We Were Vampires”

It’s song I’ve had my eye on but wasn’t quite ready to pull the trigger on last night but I promised the guest that I’d post a video soon.

I’ve lowered the key to give my voice a bit of rest and the picking pattern isn’t quite what Jason does but it’s really the haunting melody and beautiful imagery that make this such a special song.

We had such a great time jamming with you!

We started it off in the pouring rain and look at the great time we had on Sunset Beach!

Gulfstream is back next Saturday June 28th at The Boardwalk on Big Pine Key, 7-11pm

Forth of July weekend we’re back in Sarasota at the Tarpon Bay Tiki Bar and Grill, Friday night 6-10p.

And since it’s the 1st Saturday of the month, of course we’re at Coconut Charlie’s on St Pete Beach, 5-9p

Then I’m cruising back up to Pensacola to play a Gulfstream Duo at The Dock on Pensacola Beach w the amazing Jesse Bumamn.
