Can we have both the Power Boat Races and a true "Crown Jewel" of a city park? We think we can. What do you think? (Respectful comments from all perspectives much appreciated.)

The Power Boat Races brought a much appreciated boost to tourist spending in what is normally a slow time of year. But not without great physical cost to the "Crown Jewel" of Key West City Parks.

We suggest that actually trying to mitigate that annual damage is in the best interests of both the city and the organizers of the Races.
