Trash Derby recap 🗑️
Our team took part in this year’s Florida Keys Trash Derby by searching right where we are every day… the lagoon!
Our team spent the day diving and working through the area to remove debris that’s built up below the surface over time. From smaller pieces to heavier items, everything was collected and brought out piece by piece 💪😎
By the end of the cleanup, a total of 1,023 pounds of trash had been removed from the lagoon, including two transaxles totaling 700 pounds 😮
Vintage Dive Day 🤿
NAUI led in-water training right here in the lagoon on this day, bringing both the history and the skills side of diving together 😎
Here’s a closer look at the extraction training at Jules’ Undersea Lab 👏🤿
We recently had the Martin County Sheriff's Office Dive Team out at the lagoon, where they used the habitat to run an extraction scenario 😎

We recently had the Martin County Sheriff's Office Dive Team out at Jules’ Undersea Lab 👏🤿
During their time here, the team used the lagoon and habitat to run an extraction training, practicing recovery techniques in a controlled underwater environment and working through skills they use in real-world situations.
Using the lagoon like this allows dive teams to train in a unique setting, adding another layer to how underwater skills can be developed and applied! 😎
