Get back to basics with these tips for table manners and dining etiquette:
TIP OF THE WEEK-Show up on time and greet the host:
• You should arrive at or shortly after (fifteen minutes or less) the time stated on the invitation
• When arriving at the event greet the host warmly.
• Participate in conversation that you feel comfortable joining and introduce yourself

Be a helper. Gestures of kindness are simple but make a great difference.

Did you know that introducing the person with whom you are to the other parties is part of having good manners? When you are in a situation where you’re the only person who knows the other parties, take the time to introduce them. Look at the person whose name you are saying, speak clearly, and if you’re in a social setting, find something the people have in common.

Teens with good manners will command more respect, which could help them socially and academically.

Here are some basic etiquette rules teens should put in practice:
• Apologize when they've done something wrong.
• Ask permission to do things.
• Don't answer calls when they're in the middle of a face-to-face conversation.Keep their hands to themselves and don't grab things out of people's hands.
• Make eye contact in conversations

Business etiquette skills are important in the professional world. These skills guide you to:
• Know what to do in business and social situations.
• Connect better with your coworkers and clients.
• Increase your level of confidence in business (because you know what to do).
• Develop a strong and positive reputation.
• Create a positive environment.
