Was near Lafayette Park for a meeting, so took a few minutes to reflect on the state of our democracy. I realized that the last time I was in the park was Sept 11, 2001 - to cover the evacuation of the building. Different of course, but it’s hard not to feel that now, as then, we are under attack as a nation.

Let’s look inside ourselves and keep our eye on the prize: freedom under the rule of law, decency, justice, and the ideals our nation was founded on.

The jellies are so awesome. Best way to get close, though.
