Here’s how I made three pairs of workout pants in one day for $6. It should be noted, I did this almost all on my serger, I had a tried and true yoga pants pattern I knew fit, I’m a tiny hobbit, and this is advanced sewing. Not that you can’t do it, hey, we all start somewhere and it was not that long ago I was a beginner to stretch knits, 2013. I allow myself to make mistakes and I kept trying. 25 swimsuits later and I still have bumps. I expect them and not take them as a sign that I’m no good.

Great fun was had in Tuesday nights sold out basics class here at Rosewood Arts Center. You all did so well for beginners! Thank you for taking my class.

We’ll be gathering at Panera Bread, right behind Town and Country Mall. It’s a relaxed spot to connect, share ideas, and spend time with other creative people.
Feel free to bring a small bag of craft supplies or materials you’d like to pass along. If no one takes your items, just plan to bring them back home with you.
This group is open to anyone who loves or wants to explore sewing and crafting. Whether you are brand new or have been doing this for years, you will feel welcome. We always have a mix of familiar faces and new people at every meet up.
If you’ve been thinking about coming, this is a great time to join us. It’s an easy way to meet new friends and get inspired.

The local group I have the pleasure of facilitating, for over a decade, has a bag making challenge and at our next meet up, June 20th, we’re all revealing our makes. I bought another pattern from but can’t decide if I want to go with an Americana or Marimekko 1958 themed fabric. What would you do?

After a lot of messing around, that’s the nice way of saying, ‘seam ripping’, my wedding dress is finished for the finale.
The skirt shirt and reversible belt were designed by me out of vintage Guatemalan embroidery cotton and Brazilian yard dyed cotton for a marriage made in heaven. for sure!
While we get to celebrate the holiday with our families, many of us go on vacation, camping and celebrate the beginning of summer let’s all remember the brave souls who gave everything, thank you for your service and sacrifice.
