With heavy hearts, UAS Ketchikan shares the passing of gifted artist, and cultural leader, Israel Shotridge. His presence, wisdom, and artistry touched many lives and will not be forgotten. Through his work, he carried forward traditions, stories, and values that will continue to guide future generations.
The UAS Maritime Center is honored to have been home to the Sun Raven Pole since it was raised in 2003, a lasting reflection of his legacy and connection to the community.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, clan, and all who knew him. We honor his life, his artistry, and the profound impact he has made.
May he rest peacefully, and may his journey be guided by ancestors.
We are proud to celebrate the success of our Dual Enrollment Basic Training course!🎉
All 12 dual-enrolled students successfully completed the course, earning their USCG Basic Training (MTR 129) completion certificate along with 2 college credits through UAS Ketchikan. This is an incredible accomplishment and a strong step toward their future careers in the maritime industry.
