As summer arrives in Ketchikan, it's a good time for a reminder: parked vehicles can heat up faster than you might think! Even on mild days, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise quickly, putting your furry friends at risk of overheating.

With warmer days approaching, please don't leave pets unattended in a vehicle. ☀️🐾

Meet Jack, our featured Animal of the Week!

Jack is a handsome adult German Shepherd with a striking black-and-tan coat and a heart that's ready to find the right family. As a large, energetic dog, Jack will thrive with an owner who can provide plenty of daily exercise, outdoor adventures, and opportunities to stay active.

Jack can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, his loyal and affectionate personality begins to shine. He would do best with someone who has the time and patience to build a strong bond with him and include him as part of their daily life.

If you're looking for a devoted companion who will happily join you on walks, hikes, and outdoor activities, Jack may be the perfect match.

📍 Visit the Pat Wise Animal Shelter to meet Jack and see if he's the friend you've been looking for.

Because Every Tail Deserves a Happy Ending. ❤️
