Growing Through the Storm: Trusting God in Suffering

Growing with the Lord isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it comes through seasons of suffering, silence, and waiting. But I’ve learned that God often does His deepest work in our hearts when life feels the hardest.

Suffering has a way of humbling us, refining us, and teaching us to depend on Him more than anything else. In those moments when we feel weak, lost, or broken, the Lord is quietly shaping our faith and drawing us closer to Him.

Growth with God isn’t about having a perfect life, it’s about trusting Him even when we don’t understand the process. The pain may not make sense right now, but God never wastes our suffering.

Hold on. Stay faithful. The same God who allows the storm is the One who will carry you through it. 🤍

Have you ever felt a quiet tug in your heart, a gentle whisper guiding you toward something bigger than yourself? That’s God nudging you closer to your calling.

Here are a few signs He might be showing you:

• You feel peace and clarity when you pray about your future.
• Opportunities keep opening in ways that seem too perfect to be coincidence.
• You are drawn to help, serve, and care for others naturally.
• People around you notice your gifts and encourage you to use them.
• Even challenges and obstacles seem to guide you toward growth and purpose.

Remember, your calling may not always be easy, but it’s always worth it. Trust the process, stay faithful, and follow the path He’s laid out for you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

God is gently pulling you toward the life He designed just for you. Keep your heart open.

The wilderness often feels like a season of dryness, waiting, or uncertainty. It’s the place where answers seem far away and strength feels small. But it is also the place where God’s presence and provision become the most real.

Just as He gave manna to His people in the desert and led them with His light, He continues to guide and provide for us today. The wilderness is not a punishment, it’s preparation. It is where our faith is stretched, our hearts are refined, and our dependence on Him grows deeper.

When we choose to trust God in the wilderness, we discover that He is enough. The season may not last forever, but the faith we gain will carry us into the promises He has already prepared.

If you find yourself in the wilderness, remember, you are never abandoned. God walks with you every step, and even here, He is faithful. 🙌🏻

When Listening Matters More Than Advice

Sometimes what we really need from a friend isn’t coaching or unsolicited advice, but simply someone who listens. A listening friend creates a safe space where we feel understood instead of judged. Advice can be helpful when asked for, but it’s often the gentle presence and open heart of a friend that brings the most comfort.

And the truth is, many times the person who needs someone to listen already knows what is right. They’re not always searching for solutions, they’re simply carrying something heavy in their heart. Having a friend who listens allows them to release some of that weight, to feel less burdened, and to find their own clarity in the process. Sometimes, being heard is the very thing that helps a person move forward with strength and peace.

That’s why it’s so important for us to be intentional about listening. Let’s be that kind of friend, the one who gives full attention, withholds judgment, and offers presence instead of pressure. A friend who listens deeply communicates love without even needing many words. Because sometimes, the most powerful way to care for someone is not through advice, but through silence, empathy, and understanding.

✨ Living Beyond Fear ✨

I just wanted to share something very important as someone who sometimes feels anxious and afraid of speaking up, especially out of fear of disappointing or hurting others’ feelings. These thoughts kept me awake in the middle of the night (tonight), so I’m writing them now, hoping they might bless someone else too.

If you’ve ever felt anxious about expressing your love for God or talking about Him, the Creator of the universe, know that it’s normal. We live in a world that often goes against God’s design, and the temptation to fit in or “code-switch” just to be accepted can feel overwhelming. It’s not easy. But just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

Deep within you is a heart with a God-shaped space meant only for His presence. And when His Spirit dwells in you, the struggle to compromise and the pressure to conform will lose their grip. Why? Because “the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NIV).

That fear you carry about standing up for what is righteous, honorable, and pleasing to God? It will begin to fade. Allow God to take over your life. Let Him accomplish His will in you. Let Him be enthroned as King in the kingdom He desires to build through you. Pray.

As Christians, we all need to be gently reminded that the only One we truly need to please is God.

✨Important Bible verses as references to remember ✨

Galatians 1:10 (NIV)
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

1 Thessalonians 2:4 (NIV)
“On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.”

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝟗:𝟏𝟐-𝟏𝟕 🌈

After the flood, when Noah, his family, and the animals left the ark, God made a covenant (a sacred promise) not just with Noah, but with all future generations and every living creature. He declared that He would never again destroy the whole earth with a flood.

As the sign of this everlasting covenant, God set the rainbow in the clouds. Whenever the rainbow appears, it serves as a reminder of God’s mercy and faithfulness, both for humanity and for God Himself. The rainbow is like a divine “seal” of peace between heaven and earth.

• Genesis 9:12-13: “And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.’”

• Verses 14-16 explain that whenever God brings clouds and the rainbow appears, He will “remember” His promise.

So the rainbow isn’t just a natural phenomenon, it’s a symbol of hope, grace, and God’s unchanging faithfulness. 🌈

Lord, thank You for this day.
For the gift of life, the food I ate, the strength to work, and the people I met.
Thank You for guiding me, protecting me, and reminding me of Your love.
Forgive me for my shortcomings and renew my heart for tomorrow.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“The reason some opportunities have been delayed is not because you aren’t ready in skill, it’s because God is making sure you’re ready in spirit.

He’s testing your integrity in private so that when public influence comes, your character will protect it.

He’s teaching you how to carry His presence without needing constant applause to feel validated.

He’s making sure your confidence is rooted in Him, not in people’s opinions.

The hidden preparation is:

Deepening your discernment so you can recognize counterfeit opportunities.

Training your spirit to find joy in obedience, not just in results.

Strengthening your ability to hear God clearly even in noisy seasons.

The longer God keeps you in preparation, the greater the responsibility you’re being entrusted with. This is not delay, this is divine construction.” ©️womanwhoprays

𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗸𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁
