I'm always working on a new recipe or tweaking and experimenting with one of my classics. Today I experimented with my Black Bean Brownie recipe and the results from todays variation..... It's my new favorite all over again! 💕

I'm thinking of adding cake and cookie Truffles to the menu. These were oreo truffles and some added a bit of sea salt.

Would you want to see waffles on a future menu? What's your favorite flavor?

One of my families favorite things is homemade waffles with chocolate chips. This batch was even made with whey strained from when I made yogurt and sourdough discard.

‼️Announcement ‼️

I just wanted to take a moment and give a few updates. My family and I have moved to Ketchikan Alaska!

Our move was much earlier than I had anticipated and my last week operating in Sitka Alaska was the 1st week of May. This was a few months earlier than the buffer I had planned for. Since then it was a rush against the clock to get packed up as we were on one of the 1st Ferry rides this season.

Currently Ems Kitchen will not be accepting orders yet in Ketchikan while I take a break to get my family settled and established in our new home and town. I am still unpacking a sea of moving boxes and am not ready to accept any orders for the time being. I do not have "re opening" date planned yet but I will post updates on my page when I have a better idea.

Thank you to all my amazing customers in Sitka and letting me be your Baker! The last 3 years have been a joy letting me assist in your celebrations, holidays, traditions and something sweet just because. My business grew faster than I could have imagined when I moved back to Sitka and I wouldn't have been able to do it without all of you. If you have had an order with me in the last 3 years in Sitka I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to leave a review on my page and include any photos you wouldn't mind sharing.

I already miss Sitka and all of you but as it was my 2nd time living in Sitka I feel this is not good bye but see you next time!
