Fall foraging is fun! Ketchikan has so much to offer year round, but it's hard not to love a sunny fall day around here. Foraging in the backyard makes for a super fresh dinner. Now to dig out the mushroom book to double check our harvest.
This time of year is one of my favorite times in Ketchikan. It's incredible to watch the salmon climb the creek while bears swing by for a snack. Never gets old.

The Captain's kid got a little tuckered halibut fishing today. Good thing he had his halibut and eagle stuffies along for the ride.

I will never get tired of looking at sea stars... And they are in abundance right now.
When the rest of the US is cooking, it's nice to be at the beach in Ketchikan with the sea breeze watching the whales.
