We’re proud to announce that the Wrangell Senior Center has received a Member Impact Fund grant through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, bringing the total combined contribution from First Bank and FHLB Des Moines to $8,750.

The Wrangell Senior Center provides essential services and a welcoming gathering place for seniors age 60 and older in the community.

Through congregate meals, home-delivered meals, transportation services, and social and cultural activities, the center helps seniors remain connected, supported, and engaged while promoting health and wellbeing.

This funding will help support these important programs and ensure local seniors continue to have access to meals, transportation, and opportunities for social connection

As a member institution, First Bank was honored to partner with FHLB Des Moines to help deliver this funding and support seniors in the Wrangell community.

Pawsitive Impact in Ketchikan

We’re proud to announce that the Ketchikan Community Cats Program (KCCP) has received a Member Impact Fund grant through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines bringing the total combined contribution from First Bank and FHLB Des Moines to $8,750.

Established in 2018, KCCP provides compassionate care and support for cats throughout the Ketchikan community while helping pet owners access resources they may not otherwise be able to afford.

This funding will specifically support KCCP’s Senior Companion Pet Program, which helps low- to moderate-income seniors keep the companionship of their pets by covering essential veterinary care. Services include wellness exams, vaccinations, medication, spay and neuter procedures, and emergency medical care, ensuring seniors can continue caring for their beloved companions without the added financial burden.

- May provide detailed transaction information
- May ask you to call a different number back
- Will create urgency or pressure you to act quickly
