Tribal Courts are essential to tribal sovereignty and play a critical role in protecting the safety and wellbeing of Tribal communities.
The Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center (ATJRC) and Alaska Native Womenโs Resource Center (ANWRC), in partnership with Tlingit & Haidaโs Tribal Court, will host a training focused on building the capacity for tribal courts to issue protective orders to improve the safety of domestic violence victims.

NIEA is now accepting session proposals for the 57th Annual NIEA Convention & Trade Show in Buffalo, NY, October 7โ10, 2026.
This yearโs theme, Strength in Community: Building the Future Together, invites educators, leaders, and community experts to share research-informed and practice-based sessions that center Indigenous ways of knowing and support Native learners, families, and communities.
