The Kerens Library was established in 1988 by a group of dedicated people who realized the need for a library in our town. http://www.kerenslibrary.org
We now have a beautiful library with a wonderful selection of books and programs.

Today was the last day of our Children’s Reading Program. We read Good Night, Austin and had several bat crafts. There are bats under the Congress Bridge in Austin that are a big attraction to watch on summer evenings.

We had a great first day of our Children’s Summer Program. We read The Legend of the Bluebonnet by Tomie dePaola. The kids then colored and made tissue paper and sequin bluebonnets to take home.

The Navarro County Childhood Coalition will be at the Kerens Library on Tuesday, June 9 at 3:30 for popsicles, crafts, and story time. Bring the kids and have some fun!

David N. Powers will be our guest speaker for the Author’s Luncheon on April 14. Tickets can be purchased for $15 from the Kerens Library. Doors will open at KESA AT 11:30 and lunch will be served at noon.
