c1960 extra large decorative wooden bucket pail with attached Currier & Ives lithograph, “The Old Homestead in Winter.” The thick wooden side boards are encircled with three metal bands, and the bent-wood swing handle is pegged in place with wooden “bolts.” Great for storage as kindling bucket, magazine or blanket holder or simply as fireside decor. Great condition with typical vintage wear. Measures 13.5” tall, 15.5” across top, 14.5” across bottom. Cash only; easy and safe porch pickup in nice Kent neighborhood.

I never would have guessed two years ago that a majority of my hundreds of Etsy sales would be to people "buying back" their childhoods! Perfect example is this review written today by a Kansas woman: "Fantastic and so fast. I shed some tears when I opened the box. I grew up loving this Santa and my Mother threw it out. I've recently fallen in love with (nearly) all things 1950s ... so I have to keep forcing myself to list items from other decades just so I can still say my shop offers "an eclectic assortment of vintage finds!"

One year in and my shop's inventory is as eclectic as ever! :)

A rewarding aspect of selling vintage is hearing sentimental customer stories shared in appreciation of being united with an item they cherish. Last night I sold this gorgeous signed piece of Rookwood Pottery made in 1930 by artist Janet Harris. On the invoice was a one-line note from the buyer that made me weepy: "This piece was done by my mother." Wow -- how thrilling to get a one-of-a-kind item into such loving hands!!! :)
