Last week, Kent Area PTSA Council members voted unanimously to endorse and support the current KSD Replacement Levy on the February 8th ballot during our regular membership meeting.
This levy replaces one that is expiring, with no projected impact to taxes paid. It maintains current staffing and programs including:
- 130 basic education teachers not supported by state funding
- 17 nurses not supported by state funding (the state only funds 4 nurses for all 43 schools)
- arts programs, including performing arts centers that receive no state funding.. and more.
Your YES vote is needed to support the education, services, and programs our students experience.
If you are looking for more information about the levy, we encourage you to visit:

Thank you to the representatives from Citizens for Kent Schools who attended our meeting to present helpful information and answer questions about their mission to support this levy. There were no organized groups in opposition of the levy to invite to the meeting.
We are looking for new board members for next school year 2021-2022!
