Fulbright Philippines has signed an MOU with the Legal Education Board to boost legal education in the Philippines! ⚖️

Fulbright Philippines, represented by Chairperson Jessica Simon, and the Legal Education Board (LEB), represented by Chairperson Jason Barlis, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 14, 2025. This MOU seeks to contribute to the further development of the Philippine legal education sector through international academic exchanges.

The MoU allows both organizations to collaborate to provide scholarship grants and develop training programs for the benefit of the legal education sector. It will direct funds towards projects that develop comprehensive human resource development initiatives to empower future Filipino leaders. Additionally, this collaboration seeks to update teaching methods in legal education by incorporating digital technology, ensuring that students and future legal professionals remain globally competitive. Additionally, the Fulbright Philippines and LEB aim to develop training programs for law professors, lecturers, and administrators. We’re excited about how this partnership will empower the future Filipino legal minds!

Fulbright Philippines and Aboitiz Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 14, 2025. Represented by Fulbright Philippines’ Chairperson Jessica Simon and Aboitiz Foundation Chairman Sabin Aboitiz, the agreement formalizes a strategic partnership to provide Filipino scholars with enhanced opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The signing was witnessed by Ambassador MaryKay Carlson and Assistant Secretary Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga.

This agreement allows both organizations to collaborate on scholarships and support training programs that will provide Filipino students with international experience and advanced knowledge on STEM-related studies in the US. It will direct funds towards projects that develop comprehensive human resource development initiatives to empower future Filipino leaders.

Additionally, the partnership between Fulbright Philippines and Aboitiz Foundation will facilitate Filipino student exchanges to US institutions for training and research and provide international expertise to enhance human resource development programs in Filipino universities. A significant portion of these efforts will strengthen Filipino education in STEM fields, identifying and funding impactful educational projects that improve the Philippine workforce. Anna is the founder of Urban Farmer TV, Inc., an edtech platform that empowers everyone to build soil-free mini farms at home and grow food in small, unconventional spaces🥦She has inspired a global movement through creative videos about urban farming, sustainability, and more. From the big cities in the United States🇺🇸, Canada🇨🇦, Philippines🇵🇭, the UK🇬🇧, Germany🇩🇪, France🇫🇷, Italy🇮🇹, Australia🇦🇺, and Singapore🇸🇬 to the small island of the Bahamas🇧🇸, Urban Farmer TV’s reach spans 100 countries!

In 2022, Anna received the prestigious Global UGRAD Scholarship through the Philippine-American Educational Foundation , sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
