These kiddos are officially **Lemonade for HOPE** participants! 🍋💛

They stopped by the 1HOPE office to pick up their lemonade kits and spent some time learning about foster care and how **they** can make a difference in the lives of local foster children and families.

We love seeing young people discover that no matter their age, they can help bring hope, kindness, and support to others in our community. We can't wait to see their lemonade stands in action this summer!

👟🎒💙 Help Us Send Kenosha’s Foster Children Back to School with Confidence! 💙🎒👟

We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Laces & Lunchboxes event, where we’ll be providing free shoes, lunchboxes, and support to children in our foster family network as they prepare for a new school year.

To make this event possible, we’re asking our incredible community to rally together and help us collect:

👟 New shoes (Toddler Size 7 through Men's Size 13)
🎒 New lunchboxes
💧 New water bottles

Our goal is to ensure every child starts the school year with confidence, style, and a readiness to learn.

Donations can be dropped off at the 1HOPE office now through **July 15th**.

This event is a beautiful reminder that when a community comes together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of foster children and foster families. Thank you for helping us show Kenosha’s foster kids that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Come pick up your Lemonade Kids kit at the 1HOPE office and get ready to start your stand!

We will be at the office ( 5900 77th St. )

Wednesday 17th & Thursday 18th
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Your kit includes everything you need to get your lemonade stand up and running. We are so excited for the kids to have some fun this summer while also learning the joy of giving back and supporting local foster families.

Even if you don't know the date of your lemonade stand yet, please sign up so we know how many kits to prepare. We want to make sure every child who wants to participate has everything they need to get started.

We are incredibly grateful to Big Hearts Small Business for hosting their first-ever Kids Helping Kids Day of Giving Back and choosing to support 1HOPE, our foster families, and vulnerable children in our community.

One of the most beautiful things about this event was seeing children learn that they don't have to wait until they're adults to make a difference. Through acts of service, generosity, and kindness, these young leaders demonstrated the power of helping others and showed what it means to care for children and families who need support.

At 1HOPE, we believe that every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and supported. Because of the efforts of Small Business, BIG Hearts and everyone who participated, more foster families will experience encouragement, more vulnerable children will receive care, and our community will continue to grow stronger together.

✨ A Little Cleaning, A Lot of Heart ✨

Today, the 1HOPE staff rolled up our sleeves and spent time cleaning and organizing the office! From sorting supplies to freshening up our spaces, we were reminded that every task—big or small—helps us better serve the foster families, children, and volunteers we love.

A clean and organized office means we're ready to welcome families, support our volunteers, and continue building compassionate relationships throughout our community.

We're grateful for a team that is always willing to jump in wherever needed and work together to make 1HOPE the best it can be.

Kindness in Action ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make a sweet 6-year-old girl's birthday so special. From the generous donations and beautiful cake to the prayers, and love that was poured into this celebration, you helped create memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing the joy on her face was a reminder of how much it means when a community comes together to love and support children in foster care. Thank you for helping these girls feel seen, celebrated, and cherished. 🎂🎉💕

We also want to give a special shoutout to Regimen Barbers Collective for blessing one of our young men with a fresh haircut today! 💈✨ His foster mom shared, "He was so happy to get his hair done! He looks great! He has not put the hat on since we left! They gave him a pick and some samples and told me what products to buy so I have some good product on hand!"

Something as simple as a haircut can build confidence, dignity, and pride. Thank you friends for your donations and making this young man feel seen.
