Treetops Kitty Cafe - Treetops Rescue

Comments

Hi, I wanted to check if the Treetops Kitty Cafe takes donations at the Cafe of new canned cat food. We wanted to make an in-person donation soon. Thank you!
A happy cat from Treetops
just checking in to see if scrappy has been adopted???
The fee to visit is $8 for only 30 min is that correct?
My kids had such a great time yesterday at your Kitty Cafe and your wide variety of cats are adorable. My kids are asking to come back today:)
HI,TO ALL OUR TREETOP FAMILY OF ADOPTERS.YOU ARE SPECIAL,THATS WHY I'M ASKING YOU FIRST.IF EACH OF YOU COULD SPONSOR A CAT MONTHLY FOR $5.00 OR MORE IT COULD HELP US KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN,AND CONTINUE TO DO FOR THE COMMUNITY,WHAT WE DID FOR YOU.

Thanks to the Treetops Cafe staff for the great experience adopting Gracie (formerly Debbie) yesterday! Your wonderful staff found just the right kitty for me and she has already made herself a part of the family.
Hi. Do you accept vehicle donations? If not, are you aware of any animal charities that do in our area?
Hi I love your page! We have a Kitty Cafe too here in Vancouver Canada.
It’s been almost a week since we adopted Stormy (formerly Susie) and it’s like she’s always been a part of our family! She is so sweet and is always hanging out with our kids! The kids adore her! She’s got the most amazing purr and loves climbing all over my husband when he’s try to do the dishes!
We love Treetops!

Treetops Kitty Café is an open environment for rescued cats to mingle with visitors and potential adopters. Reservations are required for the Cat Lounge www.treetopskittycafe.com/reservations

TreeTops Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit animal adoption organization in southeastern PA dedicated to placing shelter animals into caring, permanent homes. We do not have a shelter to visit- our volunteers foster these animals in our homes, which allows us to give you an accurate description of each animal's needs and personality.

Operating as usual

10/06/2021

We desperately need donations to stay open. Our bank balance is dwindling and with the slower season approaching, we fear for our future here.

We pay rent. We pay utilities. We pay vet bills. We pay two people to keep the Cafe open, keep the cats healthy, and stay on top of the business basics. Sometimes, one of us doesn't take a paycheck because we don't have the money even though we've put 30+ hours in for the week.

$15 to visit may seem like a lot to some people, but without keeping our prices at this point, we cannot stay open. We currently don't have the funds to put on a large fundraiser and we lack the fundraising expertise to bring in large donors. We are expanding our visits to one full hour from 45 minutes, hoping to entice more visitors by allowing them more time with the cats. We are going to start allowing walk-ins again, so come by whenever to see if we have room for you!

These little ones are heading to their first-ever vet appointment today! They’ll be FIV/FeLV tested, given their first FVRCP vaccine, and examined for good health. These pictures are a few weeks old.

After their second FVRCP vaccine, they will be available to adopt! We plan to have them listed as soon as they’re cleared by the vet and will start accepting applications for them to be adopted straight from their foster home in the beginning of November. 🥰

Coriander is one of our new additions here at the Cafe!

She’s very sweet and affectionate with just the right amount of sassy and spice. We recommend Coriander to a home with other cats and older children.

5 months, spayed, vaccinated.

We need your help! If you or someone you know takes a special interest in fundraising for non-profit organizations, please reach out to us!

Our ideal partner is someone who can help us plan 1-2 large fundraising events per year and connect us with local resources like venues and caterers to host the events.

Ideally, we want you to become part of our little family here. There is potential for this to become a paid position, but for now, we ask for donated services in exchange for free playtime with our kitties!

To continue our mission, we need someone who wants to help us succeed. This would be a very part-time position and you can work entirely from home unless you prefer face-to-face meetings. Great opportunity for a college or graduate student who is studying non-profit management.

Email us if interested! [email protected]

It's hard to get a picture of Paprika because he is WAAAAY too busy for my nonsense! This little boy has very high prey drive and energy levels. He needs a home with a young cat to play with, lots of space to run, and a family that has time to spend with him as he grows!

Approximately 6 months, neutered, fully vaccinated.

Welcome, Clove!

Clove is about a year old. She’s a skinny little thing, but we will fix that. 😉 So far, she’s doing well with the other cats, has met our dog, and has interacted with guests with kids.

She’s such a cool looking cat - maybe some Abyssinian mixed in?! 🤔 what do you think?

4 new additions were picked up early this morning from our partner, Darlington County Humane Society!

They’ll be on the website sometime next week and will be out to play after a short quarantine period over the weekend! 😻

On board were 3 kittens - 2 females and a male (all altered, about 5 months) and a young adult female (altered, 1 year).

Eleanor is eating on her own for the first time in almost a week!! She appears to be on the upswing and we are so relieved. Thank you all for the donations and good vibes you’ve sent for Eleanor. ❤️

Optimus and Bumble Bee have come SO FAR from their arrival to Treetops in May. They can both be picked up and loved on now and absolutely adore attention with someone patient! 😻

We have so many wonderful adult cats looking for their forever homes! Please give these sweet faces a chance so we can make room for more kitties who are waiting to come to the Cafe! 💘

Our sweet Eleanor has suspected FCV (feline calicivirus). We’re treating her with supportive care at the Cafe and will continue to update all of you on her progress. Thank you for your support. ❤️ 09/20/2021

Okay! We need someone to adopt Tilly like right now 😂

Miss Tilly is going after our other cats. She wants a home all to herself where she can be the queen 👑.

Opening foster-to-adopt applications for this 10-year-old sassy pants. She’s really the biggest baby and just wants to be loved on 24/7. No other pets, please. And yes, she does like to be held like an actual baby! She’s healthy and up to date on vaccines. FIV/FeLV negative and spayed. Her teeth look great and she tolerates having her ears and teeth cleaned very well!

Eleanor is doing okay today. She’s alert and affectionate. Her mouth seems much less swollen today and she is resting comfortably with pain meds.

She let me syringe-feed her some soft food and is interested in eating directly from a bowl, but doesn’t follow through just yet. She received some IV fluids this morning and lots of love.

I’ll continue to update you all on her progress. We hope to be seen tomorrow at our regular vet. Thank you all for the support and donations. We raised enough to cover her bill from yesterday! Any extra will be put towards future treatment for whatever is going on. 🙏🏻❤️

Our Sweet Eleanor is currently in medical treatment at the vet. I found her this morning with severe ulcers in her mouth and she is in poor shape.
This happened suddenly and without warning.
So far, our plan is to administer pain meds and help ease her discomfort. The vet is doing blood work and IV fluids as well. Beyond this plan, we are not sure what the future holds for Eleanor.
If you plan to visit the Cafe today, please know that Holly and I are laser focused on dealing with this situation and our schedule is all kinds of messed up from the emergency. One of us (most likely me😅) may be running around like a headless chicken trying to manage reservations and visitors while we have this weighing heavily on our hearts. It’s never easy to see one of our cats sick, especially when it’s so sudden and we don’t know what to do for them.

Thank you all for your continued support. We try to hold our heads high and smile through painful situations the best we can because we love what we do. It is one of the hardest, but best jobs to care for these cats. 💔

If you feel compelled to donate to Eleanor’s vet fund, please Venmo or PayPal us.

This gorgeous boy is Knox.

Knox is about 7 months old and very sweet. Yes, we do think he is a Maine C**n mix.
Knox doesn’t seem to want to share litter boxes here. He would do best as the only cat in a home with an experienced adopter. Although he gets along well with the other cats, we think his aversion to using the box is the smell of other cats’ urine. We want him to have rule of the roost to set him up for success.

Since he struggles with the box, we are looking for someone who has experience litter training cats and kittens. Someone who has extreme patience and is willing to take the time to help him transition from the Cafe to a home. This person also must own their home. Why? Because landlords don’t like to rent to people who have cats that don’t use the litter box consistently.

Adopting Knox is a commitment to be taken very seriously. We’ve done everything we can here to train him to use the box. He will use it when he has the box to himself in a condo, but the presence of other cats triggers him to go right outside of our other boxes not the communal box area. We would also consider an indoor/outdoor home for Knox with someone who has experience caring for indoor/outdoor cats and has the proper outdoor space.

We’ve never dealt with this before at the Cafe and we are trying our best to work with him. Obviously, we want him to find a home, but not just any home will be the best fit. We have had cats with litter box issues who find homes and don’t have any problems after being adopted.

If you think Knox is a good fit for you, please apply or email us for more information!
