Kenner Police investigators are seeking assistance identifying the individual pictured, who is believed to be connected to a vehicle burglary in the Seton Park subdivision and an attempted vehicle burglary in the 3400 block of Arkansas Avenue.
At approximately 3:33 AM, surveillance cameras captured a suspect riding an electric scooter into the Seton Park subdivision near St. John Drive and St. Blase Drive. The suspect is believed to have burglarized a vehicle, stealing a wallet containing cash and several bank cards.
Approximately ninety minutes later, at around 5:00 AM, a second incident occurred in the 3400 block of Arkansas Avenue. The suspect shattered the driver-side window of a parked Toyota Tundra and was confronted by a vigilant neighbor. The suspect fled the area on an electric scooter, traveling toward Tifton Street and the canal bank. Officers later recovered the scooter near Jasper Street.
Based on surveillance footage and investigative findings, detectives believe the same individual is responsible for both incidents.

The Kenner Police Department is once again asking for the publicโs assistance in locating Dwight Charles Ursin, who has been missing since May 30, 2025.
Dwight was 24 years old when he was last seen in the 4000 block of Williams Boulevard wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and white shoes. He resides in the 700 block of Vouray Drive and frequently visited his grandfather on Po***ck Place, typically returning home the same day. However, he never arrived at his grandfatherโs residence and has not been seen or heard from since.
Dwight suffers from mental illness and did not have a cell phone or other means of communication at the time of his disappearance. His family continues to search for answers and remains deeply concerned for his well-being.
One year has passed, but we have not given up hope. Someone may remember seeing something, hearing something, or have information that could help bring answers to Dwightโs family.
If you have any information regarding Dwightโs whereabouts, no matter how small it may seem, please call 911 or contact the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222.
Please help us keep Dwightโs story visible by sharing this post.
๐ฉ๐ NATIONAL DONUT DAY ๐๐ฉ
In honor of National Donut Day, Chief Keith Conley bravely volunteered to handle this yearโs official donut inspection. After a thorough review, weโre happy to report the evidence has beenโฆ consumed.
Despite what the movies might suggest, police work involves a lot more than donuts. Our officers spend their days and nights responding to calls, investigating crimes, protecting our neighborhoods, and serving the citizens of Kenner.
That said, if a fresh donut happens to find its way into the breakroom every now and then, weโre not asking too many questions.
Today, we celebrate the hardworking men and women of the Kenner Police Department who show up every day ready to serve this community with professionalism, dedication, and a sense of humor.
Happy National Donut Day from Chief Conley and the Kenner Police Department! ๐ฉ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
And a special shout-out to the very best, Big Johnโs Donuts!

Chief Kyle had a busy day after being officially sworn in, and he quickly got to work learning all about what it takes to lead a police department.
During his visit, Kyle toured KPD headquarters, visited with our K9 team, learned about drone operations from one of our drone operators, toured the jail, and got an inside look at the many different responsibilities handled by the Kenner Police Department each day

It's officially the start of Hurricane Season, which means it's time to dust off those hurricane plans, check those emergency kits, and find out where that flashlight disappeared to since last year. ๐ฆ
While we all hope for a quiet season, now is the time to prepareโnot when there's a storm spinning in the Gulf and the bread aisle looks like it was hit by a hurricane before the hurricane.
โ
Stock up on essential supplies
โ
Make a family communication plan
โ
Review evacuation routes
โ
Keep important documents in a safe place
โ
Fill prescriptions before they're needed
โ
Stay informed through trusted weather sources
The good news? While you're preparing at home, the Kenner Police Department is preparing too. Our officers stand ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve and protect our community before, during, and after any storm.
Let's all do our part to be prepared, stay safe, and hope Mother Nature takes it easy on us this year.

๐จ KENNER POLICE DEPARTMENT LEADS LARGE CYBER SWEEP INVESTIGATION ๐จ
Just a few months ago, the Kenner Police Department partnered with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill to establish an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Lab, stood up as the Louisiana Metro ICAC Task Force, at Kenner Police Headquarters.
The lab houses investigators from:
๐ก๏ธ Kenner Police Department
๐ก๏ธ Louisiana Bureau of Investigations
๐ก๏ธ St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office
๐ก๏ธ Louisiana State Police
๐ก๏ธ Homeland Security Investigations
The unit focuses on identifying online predators utilizing social media platforms, gaming platforms, dating aps, and other online services to exploit children through grooming, solicitation, and the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
During the month of May, the Kenner Police Department hosted a large-scale undercover operation targeting individuals utilizing the internet to solicit children for sexual purposes. Investigators identified suspects from across Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, and Michigan who traveled, believing they were meeting juveniles. The results speak for themselves.

Chief Conley and members of the Kenner Police Department recently held a meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming 2026 Hurricane Season and to ensure our department remains ready to respond should a storm threaten our area. The City of Kennerโs Director Emergency Operationโs Center joined in to coordinate and identify needs and assets for rapid response and deployment.
From emergency response planning and staffing to equipment readiness and coordination with our local partners, the Kenner Police Department is actively preparing to help keep our community safe during severe weather events.
While we continue preparing on our end, we strongly encourage every family to have a plan in place before a storm approaches.
