100 YEARS :: Perret's Today | Today, Perret’s is owned by son-in-law Bill Poynot and daughter Lauren Perret Poynot, who have been part of the business since the 1980s. What began as a local New Orleans shop has grown into a trusted supplier of military, police, school, and corporate uniforms, along with custom embroidery, patches, footwear, gifts, and specialty items.
One hundred years in, Perret’s continues the family legacy while adapting to a national marketplace and an increasingly digital world.

Some great camouflage close outs available. Five dollars each, or three pieces for 10 bucks. You can’t beat that!
100 YEARS :: Weathering the Storm | After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Jefferson Highway location did not reopen. The Kenner store eventually expanded, growing to 7,000 square feet to better serve customers across the region with uniforms, surplus, and specialty gear.
We have some great 5.11 product on sale 25% off while it lasts.
100 YEARS :: Creativity and Identity | From hand drawn parrot logos that evolved over time to Leon Perret’s independently created French Quarter Polo Club apparel line, Perret’s has always blended creativity with commerce. Even early advertising invited customers to “See What is New in Men’s Wear,” reflecting the spirit of its era.
For more than 60 of our 100 years Perret’s has been the go to place for boys school uniforms. Beat the rush and come in today.
100 YEARS :: Growth in Kenner | In 1988, the Royal Street menswear inventory was sold, and Perret’s fully leaned into its surplus identity. That same year, a Kenner location opened on Williams Boulevard. The original space was small, but demand quickly proved there was room to grow.
