Thanks to the efforts of my fellow NH State Representative Jodi Newell, the Blue Envelope Program is now available in NH. The Blue Envelope Program is a voluntary, law enforcement initiative designed to ease traffic stop interactions for drivers with autism, trauma-related conditions, and other cognitive or sensory disabilities. It provides drivers with a specialized envelope to hold important documents and includes communication guidelines for both the driver and the officer.
All drivers with oral communication impairments should contact their local police or DMV office.
