Hokanson Custom Rods and lures

Well the first Fishing derby is in the books. The wind was definitely a challenge. Started off with a bass then a bunch of bluegills a few perch a catfish and a golden pond shiner. Making for a fun morning. I love watching kids fish and they love getting a Trophy. Thank you to my buddy David Medeiros for always helping me put on the derby. And I can’t forget Carol Medeiros for the door dash of pancakes that you brought down to us. Your the best

Well this was a first for me. I had a guy bring this lure to me asking if I could give it a new paint job. He wanted a bluegill pattern. I think it came out pretty decent.

Not everyone gets to catch new personal bests on a rod and lures made by their Dad. So lucky to have Jeffrey W. Hokanson in my corner. 🎣

Well this is what I came up with. I guess you could call it a bluegill spotted perch. I did some color shift paint on the black so it turns to gold/green in different light. Fun lil lure to paint.

Working on another lure I think this will be a simple one. I will post pictures when complete.

Finished painting these and managed to get the clear coat on them. I have one more but I need to touch up the paint after scratching it when I was putting the eyes on it.
