As a foster-based, women-led rescue, Belle’s Buds Rescue relies on donations and fundraising to continue doing what we do every single day.

When a dog comes into our care, we make a commitment to that dog. ❤️

Veterinary care. Vaccinations. Spay and neuter surgeries. Medications. Emergency treatment. Food. Transportation. Foster support. And sometimes weeks or months of care before that dog is healthy and ready for a forever home.

🖤🤎🤍 URSA IS READY TO FIND HER PERSON 🤍🤎🖤

Ursa may not run up and jump into a stranger’s lap.

But give her time, let her make the first move…and you might just get one of her signature little nose boops. 🥹🐾

This petite, approximately 1-year-old tricolor girl has a long little body, pointy ears and the cutest personality. We believe she may be a Rat Terrier mix, and she is doing wonderfully in her foster home.

Her foster family has watched Ursa come out of her shell more and more, and her favorite confidence-builders have four legs. ❤️

🐾 She LOVES other dogs.
🐾 She runs, jumps, plays and naps with her foster siblings.
🐾 She’ll initiate play and happily join in the fun.
🐾 She loves hanging out with her people on the sofa.
🐾 She is house trained.
🐾 She’s sweet, curious, pretty quiet and has a medium activity level.

And then there are the boops. 🥹

Ursa will walk up and gently bump the back of your leg or your hand with her nose—her own adorable little way of making contact and saying, “Hi, I’m here.”

Ursa is still learning to completely trust human touch. If someone approaches her and reaches down to pet her, she may crouch or back away. But sit quietly and allow Ursa to make the decision, and she’ll come over, stand beside you and even offer her head when she’s ready for affection.

That distinction is important.

Ursa doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will listen to what she’s telling them and let the relationship develop on her timeline. ❤️

🏡 Ursa’s dream home would have another friendly, confident dog who can continue showing her the ropes and a patient family who understands that trust takes time. She has done well with men, women and respectful teens 14+.

Ryan has been part of the Belles Buds Rescue family for over a year and a half. But we always say it only takes one right person, one right family, one perfect match — and hers finally found her.

Her new mom and dad have completely fallen in love with her sweet, easy-going personality and her favorite way of loving her people: sticking right by their side like the cutest little Velcro dog. 🥹❤️

And she has a new name…

A very special thank you goes to Deepthi and her family, who fostered Chloe and gave her the safe, loving home she needed while she waited for this moment. Fostering a dog until their forever family arrives — whether that’s a few weeks, a few months, or more than a year — is an incredible commitment, and we are so grateful. ❤️

Chloe’s story is also a beautiful reminder for every dog who may take a little longer to find their person:

Our sweet little Locket has landed herself a wonderful forever family! 🐾🏡

This tiny girl stole hearts from the very beginning, and now she has a whole family of her very own to love, grow up with, and make memories with. ❤️

A huge thank you to the Lewis family for choosing adoption and welcoming our precious girl into your family. Looking at that family photo, we think Locket is going to have a pretty amazing life. 🥰

These are the moments that make every rescue, every foster, every late night and every bit of hard work worth it.

Daisy is 74 pounds of pure fluff and sweetness. Her elderly owner had to go into assisted living, and through no fault of her own, Daisy has now found herself living in a shelter during her golden years. 💔

Imagine spending your life with your person, having a home and a routine…and suddenly everything you know is gone.

Daisy deserves better than spending this chapter of her life behind shelter doors.

✨ PEGGY FOUND HER FOREVER PERSON! ✨

Look at our girl. 🥹❤️

Many of you will remember Peggy. When she was found, she was nearly starving to death—nothing but skin and bones. She was left at our vet with a note, and from that moment on, her life began to change.

Peggy spent quite a while with us while her body healed and she learned what it meant to be safe, loved and cared for. And along the way, she hit the foster-family jackpot.

A huge THANK YOU to the Domingue family for opening your home and hearts to this girl. You loved her, spoiled her, helped her heal and gave her exactly what she needed while she waited for the person who was meant to find her. ❤️

And then came Kara.

Sometimes you just KNOW.

Peggy and Kara are an absolutely perfect match, and judging by these pictures, Peggy seems pretty confident she chose well. 😂❤️

From being abandoned and starving… to wearing her pearls, lounging on the couch, giving kisses and knowing exactly where she belongs.

This is rescue. This is why we do it.

And congratulations, Kara—you didn’t just adopt a dog. You found your girl.

🚨 MAX NEEDS US — FOSTER, FOREVER HOME & A LITTLE HELP 🚨

This poor boy’s story is heartbreaking.

Max is only about 12 months old. An English Bull Dog. When his owner was deported, the family came to empty the home — and Max was left behind in a crate outside in the Texas heat. 💔

Thankfully, a neighbor saw what was happening and got him out of there. Someone stepped up when Max desperately needed a human to care.

Now we want to make sure he is never left behind again.

🐾 Meet Max:
• About 12 months old
• Sweet, friendly boy
• Great with kids and cats
• Friendly with other dogs
• Heartworm negative
• Vaccinations current
• Young, happy and full of love
• Still needs a little work on potty training
• Currently intact, so he does try to mount other dogs — something we hope will improve once neutered
• Has cherry eye that needs to be addressed

Max needs a foster or, even better, a forever family. He has already been shuffled around enough in his very short life. He deserves stability, a soft bed and someone who looks at him and says, “You’re home.” ❤️

We would also love to $ toward Max’s neuter, cherry-eye treatment and veterinary care so we can get this handsome boy completely ready for his next chapter.

🩵🎉 ADOPTED: CAMILLA! 🎉🩵

Sometimes all a dog needs is someone to believe in them long enough for the right family to find them.

Camilla’s journey began after she was abandoned out in the Texas countryside, wondering where her family had gone. Thankfully, she was rescued and spent the next several months in temporary foster care while waiting for her chance.

Then Catherine welcomed Camilla into her foster home…

And that’s when everyone truly got to know the amazing dog she had been all along.

We discovered a German Shepherd who was beautifully mannered, house trained, affectionate, playful, and incredibly smart. A dog who rang the bell when she needed to go outside, played fetch like a pro, entertained herself by tossing toys into the air, loved dogs of every size — even Chihuahuas — lived peacefully with cats, and politely asked for head scratches by gently tucking her nose under your hand. 🩵

Camilla didn’t just wait for her forever family…

She showed them exactly who she was.

And Camilla basically got herself adopted. 🥹🩵

Amy and Jim saw all those wonderful qualities and fell in love. Today, Camilla is HOME with a mom and dad who adore her, 2 dog sisters and 7 cat brothers and sisters! 🐶🐱

And she’s already loving life with her new family! Camilla especially loves playing with her new sister Eleanor, and seeing her having fun with her new bestie makes this happy ending even sweeter. 🩵

And yes… they’re keeping her name.

They think Camilla suits her perfectly because she is such a lady. We couldn’t agree more. 🩵

A huge thank you to Lisa, who provided Camilla with temporary foster care and helped keep her safe during an important part of her journey.

And a heartfelt thank you to Catherine for fostering Camilla and giving her the opportunity to settle into a home where all those incredible little qualities could shine through. Foster homes give us the chance to truly know our dogs — and help future families fall in love with who they really are.

Finally, thank you to Amy and Jim for choosing adoption and welcoming Camilla into such an incredible family. We have a feeling this very proper lady is going to be just a little spoiled. 😉
