Every Wednesday will feature different activities, crafts, games, and creative experiences for children and families to enjoy. Plus, food, snacks, and refreshments will be provided at each Summer Fun Day! Bring the kids for an all in a safe and welcoming environment where families can connect and make memories together.

At just 19 years old, Addison is bravely facing severe epilepsy, and we’re coming together as a community to help raise funds for a life-changing service dog that will bring her safety, independence, and peace of mind.

Today, our Katy Angels Program Director, had the opportunity of connecting with Texas Children’s Hospital - West Campus.

This moment marks the beginning of a meaningful relationship rooted in compassion, service, and a shared commitment to uplifting families in our Katy community. Together, we are building bridges that allow us to extend love, strengthen faith, and bring hope to those who need it most.

At Katy Angels, we believe in leading with our hearts in our hands—serving others with intention, humility, and God’s love at the center of it all. This is just the beginning of something truly impactful. 🤍

At just 21 years old, Leilani Melero from Katy is facing one of the hardest seasons of her life. Her mother is currently battling cancer, and recently Leilani reached out to Katy Angels for help with groceries during this difficult time.

But in the middle of the fear and uncertainty, Leilani chose something powerful — she chose healing. 🎨

She began painting as a way to process her emotions and cope with everything her family is going through. What started as a way to heal has turned into something beautiful — artwork that reflects her strength, faith, and hope.

Now we are asking our Katy community to come together for her.

Sometimes when life feels the heaviest, the community around us can become the greatest blessing.

Leilani:

“Hi, my name is Leilani Melero. I started creating art as a way to cope with my past struggles, including addiction and sexual assault. For a long time, I used pills as a way to escape the pain I was carrying.
Art became a healthier outlet for me. It helps me stay grounded, express emotions that are hard to put into words, and continue choosing sobriety. Through painting and creating, I’m able to process my experiences and turn something painful into something meaningful.
Art is more than just something I make It’s part of my healing journey and a reminder of how far I’ve come.”

As Spring Break begins for many school districts, it’s important to remember that for some children, school meals are their most reliable source of food. During this break, there may be kids in our community who won’t have access to three meals a day.

If you know of a family or child who may need help during this time, please feel free to connect them with Katy Angels. We are here to help however we can, and if the need is outside of what we provide, we will gladly help connect them with the right resources.

Let’s come together as a community to look out for one another. A small act of kindness can make a big difference. May we be a reminder to those struggling that their prayers are heard and that God’s love is always present through the hands and hearts of others. 🤍

This past weekend, Katy Angels had the honor of participating in the Feed the Hunger Pack-a-Thon, where our amazing volunteers helped pack 39 boxes of packaged meals to support children in the U.S. and around the world. 🌍✨

A special thank you to Marco Ruiz for his continued support and for always bringing along helping hands, to Steven Barnett for being such a strong source of encouragement and support , and to the Cinco Ranch National Honor Society students who did an incredible job serving with heart and dedication.

I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to my family and friends for showing up with helping hands and giving hearts. Your love and support mean more than you know. 💙

This weekend was a beautiful reminder that it doesn’t take much to make a difference. As long as there is a will, there truly is a way. 💫

We are so grateful for each and every volunteer who showed up to serve. Together, we are making an impact—one box, one meal, one life at a time. 💙🙏
