Does your office work area reflect you?

How you experience your office area is essential; it can help you focus, create more productivity, creativity, and it can soothe your soul if it is comfortable for you and your body.

Living in a studio, I needed to put my work area in a corner, but it needed a mirror behind the desk to strengthen my position. This photo is a picture of me taking a picture of the desk with a mirror behind the work area. The mirror placement “doubled” the size of the office area, “doubled” my workspace with light, and most importantly, it provided a reflection of the entrance door to the unit, which brought an awareness of any movement around me. As a bonus, I had the image of nature, bringing calm & inspiration for me as it is a big part of my work. And to top it off, I am situated at the bend of a stream on this land, so I have a built-in water feature with burbling water coming from the stream. As I settled here, I discovered that I sat in a nature spirit realm and introduced myself to her, asking permission to share with her. After a while, I received a resounding yes, and now I have a water ally.

Creativity started flowing. I did a PowerPoint presentation on water after the big storm here in 2018, and I know it was the influence of the water being & ancestors here that helped me do it. So, paying attention to how your office feels can bring many benefits. There are so many ways that you can implement more exchange with the vitality around you to make it more inviting and more encouraging for you to spend quality time and create what is essential to you.
