Today, we had the honor of celebrating a very special milestone, First Gift’s first birthday, alongside the incredible Labor and Delivery team at Mosaic!

Together, we recognized the very first families who chose to give the healing gift of birth tissue donation. Each name in this shadowbox, gifted to the Labor and Delivery Team, represents a powerful act of generosity, one that can heal up to 75 lives.

We’re so grateful for our partners at Mosaic who make this work possible every day, and for the families who say “yes” in such meaningful ways. One year in, and we’re just getting started.💜💙

This National Living Donor Day, we thank the 246 moms who chose to give through our birth tissue donation program over the past year. Each donation can help heal up to 75 individuals, with the potential to impact thousands of lives.

On National Working Moms Day, we recognize the dedication, strength, and love it takes to balance work, family, and everything in between. Whether you’re working in an office, a hospital, a classroom, or caring for your family at home, the work of motherhood is powerful and important.

With 10 years of experience in Ophthalmology, Krysha was drawn to First Gift by her love for pregnancy and the opportunity to support birth moms in a meaningful way.

She enjoys building personal connections with moms and appreciates the hands-on aspect of her work. For Krysha, the most rewarding part is seeing how one act of kindness can have a ripple effect, touching countless lives with hope and healing.

Meet Nikki – Our Tissue Acquisition Manager

Nikki brings more than 13 years of experience in tissue and eye banking to her role at First Gift. As a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS), she is deeply passionate about the healing power of donation and its impact on families.

What she loves most about her work is being there on such a special day for moms, witnessing their generosity, and helping turn something once overlooked into a meaningful gift of hope. 💙💜
