Manheim Spring Dumpster Days and Cleanup Schedule

Dumpster Days: 8 a.m. to Noon. Dumpsters will be located in front of Bancroft School (43rd & Tracy for trash) and the Community Garden (42nd & Forest for brush).

Dates: Saturdays
May 26th
June 30th
July 28th
August 25th
September 29th

Block Cleanups: 8 a.m. to Noon. Housing & Litter Committees will be working on a specific block to be determined. MPO Schriever and Community Service Workers are scheduled to volunteer.

Manheim Developers Meeting this morning. It was wonderful to have a forum for open, candid and positive discussions regarding changes in Manheim - from economic development to job training, historic preservation and further housing proposals...great energy, lots of passion - thank you to the Developer's Panel... Details coming on a third design charrette for continued resident input!

Troost Street Festival 5-5-12 We're celebrating the completion of the Troost Avenue Bridge over Brush Creek on Saturday, May 5, with a street festival.

KU Urban Planning First Friday

Manheim Spring today was a huge success - saw friends and familiar faces - and met many more! Freddie, Dylan and I drove the neighborhood collecting trash and brush and loading dumpsters then got the Rodeo washed by the local Boy Scout Troop holding a fundraiser. Donated some Lamar's Donuts to the workers, bought some baked goodies...so thankful to everyone who is putting so much into making Manheim beautiful again!

This Saturday, 4/28 is MANHEIM SPRING in the neighborhood...Dumpster Day and Street Cleaning Block by Blokc...dumpsters will be set up outside Bancroft and the Community Garden for brush and garbage from 8-12...also there will be a fundraising bake sale and neighborhood yard sale in the parking lot of Manor Apartments at 4200 Tracy...I believe the start time for that piece is more like 9am for set-up etc...
