Well, last night was definitely one of those nights that reminds you there’s always something to learn in racing. 🏁

We started the night qualifying 2nd and setting a new personal best time, then followed it up with a 1st place finish in the heat race.

The main was a little more eventful. About half the field, including us, got caught up in a wreck. We ended up with a flat, came into the pits, changed it and got back out there. Brian worked his way back through the field and crossed the finish line in what we thought at the time was 3rd.

We didn’t end up taking 3rd home because we changed the tire during a red flag. Honestly, we didn’t know that was a rule. With so many cars coming off the track and everyone working on their cars, we thought we were okay to change the flat. Now we know. Lesson learned.

After some really hard seasons, the hard work, consistency and mindset are finally starting to show this year, and we’re pretty proud of that.

This race season kicked off at the end of May, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Between a packed summer schedule and life keeping our family on our toes, the season has absolutely flown by and we currently have two scheduled races left.

We started the season chasing down some small issue that had us working harder than we wanted to just to keep the car happy. Once we got that sorted out though, things really started to turn around. After a couple of tough seasons, it’s been awesome to finally see the effort, long nights, and persistence start to show on the track.

Since then, Brian has really hit his stride, putting together a solid season with a couple podium finishes and a lot of strong, competitive runs. The momentum is building, and we’re excited to see what we can do with the rest of the season.

None of this happens without the people behind us.

We may not have been racing this weekend, but we still got our racing fix! 🏁
We headed over to Salmon, Idaho to cheer on some of our friends as they tore it up on the dirt track. It was such a fun weekend filled with great racing and good friends that makes this sport so special.

Huge congrats to Travis Panko for taking 5th and hard charger last night, Dumont’s for rocking their asphalt cars on dirt and everyone else who hit the track you all put on one heck of a show! 🔥

Well, that’s a wrap on the 2025 Hobby Stock race season at Mission Valley Super Oval! We finished our season last Saturday taking 1st in our heat race and 8th in the main, and while this year came with some tough engine challenges, we still had an absolute blast, even on the nights when our own car wasn’t on the track.
