Why red canoe? Because we actually have one. It's a family heirloom. A 1937 Thompson Brothers Hiawatha, inherited by Mark after his dad passed away. Shiny red canvas exterior and all-wood interior. Rescued a couple of years ago from its perch in his parents' garage in Florida where it hung, largely untouched, for decades. It will spend the winter being restored by an artisan in Bigfork, Montana.
