Took advantage of a beautiful day and our free schedules to finish installing our outdoor carpet on the ramp. Isn't it pretty? Next project will be to replace the side rails on front porch.

Our next vendor event is coming up. If you want to be a vendor message us. Money raised goes towards building upkeep.

We have been hard at work updating. Still more to do but doesn't this front porch look so much better?

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Country Cousins 4-H club hard work. With the help of the Montana 4-H Foundation, Inc., who provided the people partner grant to refresh the exterior of the Birch Grove Community Center. $ went torwards painting building and a new sign. Along with the Montana Farmers Union who provided funds to light up the new sign. Also thanks go to the Birch Grove Willing Workers who are caretakers of the community center.

We have been making improvements over the last few years. Updated kitchen, new curtains and paint inside. Outside most of the building has been painted. New sign, lights on sign. Today street numbers put on sign!! New benches on porch and a new fire pit ring for hot dog roasts and smores! More sprucing up to come.

Hey! It’s History Friday!

This week we have a picture of the Birch Grove School on District #66, circa 1913. It’s located at 594 Birch Grove Road in Kalispell. The school was opened on November 29, 1911, surrounded by, you guessed it, a grove of birch trees. It served as a school until March 10, 1970, where it was then annexed to School District #5.

One hundred and ten years later, it’s now run as the Birch Grove Community Hall. It’s also rented out for special events or parties. The old school looks like it’s taken on many tough winters. You can’t miss the dated metal monkey bars and slide, but the property is no longer surrounded by birch trees.
