Remember when, in 2022, I did my best impression of Jennifer Lawrence in her iconic (and endlessly memeable) Hot Ones appearance, screaming “what do you mean? WHAT DO YOU MEAN??” having just discovered that the culturally beloved and *supposedly Irish* Shamrock Shake (of fame) was NOT, in fact, Bailey’s and coffee but instead merely MINT and CHOCOLATE?? Neither of which (although delicious) have ANYTHING to do with Ireland??

Yes, well. You had to have been there. I was horrified. I still am! But I made a macaron about it and have each year since. Mint and chocolate still have nothing to do with Ireland, but like everyone else I’ve just accepted the combination as a March tradition and tbh at this point it would feel like Ain’t Pat’s without them. And, as ever, they’ll be available as the rotator at during the weekends festivities! 🍀 Check out their insta for event times tomorrow and Sunday!

Last spring, I had the very special privilege of speaking with a class of first graders about baking. I was woefully unprepared for their energy, but they were tolerant of my shenanigans and together we brainstormed potential “weird macaron flavors”: pizza, pesto, hamburger and ketchup, spinach, pickle, and…blue raspberry. To be honest, while I’ve considered all of the above in some form (tell me spanakopita macaron wouldn’t slap), the obvious choice for immediate exploration is the much-beloved sour berry. While I developed a naturally flavored iteration last summer, I dropped the ball when it came to posting about it online. So here we are: nearly a year later and it’s finally on the grid. I guess this is as good a time as any, given that it’s also the rotator at . Brave the cold front and wake up your taste buds with this potent remix of our fresh raspberry compote in-house or at the brewpub ASAP. ⚡️⚡️⚡️And don’t forget to shower your local educators in appreciation. They truly are doing the most. 😮‍💨🫡

Unbeknownst to me, the first time her oldest daughter experienced sugar, it was at the Holiday Stroll where I (as the Sugar Plum Fairy) offered her a macaron! 🥹✨🌸 What a lovely way to mark our fifth year in business. It was a little over a year ago when for the first time in my young life I was politely informed that no, the iconic “shamrock shake” (of fame) is NOT a coffee and Irish cream milkshake. I cannot stress enough how absolutely scandalized I was to discover that it’s just…mint? And chocolate? Which (although delicious) have nothing to do with Ireland??

As a sucker for themes, I present a tasty interpretation: minty milk chocolate buttercream studded with tender, rich chunks of our flourless chocolate cake. Normally, I would have called it Grasshopper Pie, but as they say: “everyone’s a little Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day”. 🙄😂 🇮🇪 🍀

Had a magical time with the team at during the holiday stroll in Kalispell last week and am downright giddy to join forces with the GOAT for the stroll in Whitefish this Friday! We’ve dreamed up some exceptionally unique treats for the occasion, and we can’t wait to share them with you. Downtown Whitefish, 5-8pm. Keeping it savory this weekend with a new only one day late for but just in time for lunch. A fragrant, herbal cornbread dressing (AKA stuffing) shell, a citrusy pomegranate and cranberry chutney, and a generous helping of roast turkey. Everything you love about this weekend, minus the weird relatives. If you find yourself in need of a weird relative, I’m available for parties. 🙋🏻‍♀️
