On Deck is a q***r contemporary adult romance novel about a trans man who’s fighting to make it in the rodeo world alone, but he comes to realize he’s not alone in his battle to the top, and finds himself in a rivalry that’s a little too close to home 🤭

Book clubs, sunshine, and friends... oh my! 🌞

Here are all of our upcoming book clubs that are just getting started for the month! 📚

Anyone is allowed to join! Fantasy, romance, and dark romance are for adults and meet every other week 6pm-7pm!

We will be stating a YA group for both middle school and high school ages!

YA ages 10-14 for middle school book discussions will take place every other Saturday 11am-12pm starting on June 27th! Bring a friend and hang out for an hour to discuss your favorite books!

YA ages 14-17 for high school will take place every other Friday from 6pm-7pm starting on June 26th! Bring a friend and hangout for an hour to talk about your favorite books!

Mondays with Romance: Nine Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean
- June 29th to discuss up to chapter 14
- July 13th for full book discussion

Tuesdays with Fantasy: Bone Ships by RJ Barker
- June 23rd to discuss through Chapter 23
- July 7th for full book discussion

Thursdays with Dark Romance: Bound by Shadows by K.T. Madden
- June 25th to discuss up to chapter 20
- July 9th for full book discussion

We've hinted at it coming but here are the official details of the who, what, when and where 🤗

Indie author Brad Allison will be in store from 11am-1pm signing copies of both of his books Repercussions and Reflections: A Long Road to Love.

Brad would love to have the chance to do a small reading and Q&A with anyone who would be interested so stop by right at 11am if you can! 📚

This would be the perfect stop to make on your way to Kalamazoo's Pride event happening this weekend! 👀

Brad Allison grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, and attended Gull Lake schools where he first learned to write on an IBM Selectric typewriter—an early fascination that shaped his creative life including writing imaginative stories. He now lives in Kalamazoo, crafting stories rooted in diversity, identity, connection, including landscapes of Southwest Michigan. Brad shares his life with his husband, Christian, who is from Montevideo, Uruguay. When he isn’t writing fiction, he designs software for businesses, continuing what he calls his work as a creator of things!

New month means new newsletter! ✨️

We're excited to announce what's on the schedule for this month 👀

- June 6th and June 20th: indie author signings, who both have books that fall within the LGBTQ+ community representation! 🌈 more details to come on these events separately!

- June 12th: book bedazzling was so fun last time so we thought why not do it again! Bring a book of your choice or buy one for 15% off in store 🫶

- June 27th: Kzoo Critter Prints has been working hard keeping the store stocked up and they will be set up once again selling their crafty goodies on June 27th!

And as always- book clubs meet twice a month for fantasy, romance, and dark romance! Anyone is allowed to join! 🤗 Info can be found on our website!

New Book Club Announcement! ✨️

With summer quickly approaching, we thought now would be a great time to start up a YA book club! 📚

Recommended ages will be 13-17 years old 😀

But first we need your help! If you are interested or know someone who would be, please fill out this google survey to help us decide on dates and times!

Reading is a passion of everyone, at all ages and we want to offer our safe space for those who want an hour every other week to meet new friends and be inspired by other fun books! 🫶
