The weekend is almost here, and the Kalamazoo area has some big events lined up this Friday and Saturday.

Kalamazoo Pride returns to Arcadia Creek Festival Place on Friday with live music from Infinite Coles and Tony and the Kiki, plus the annual Ms./Mx./Mr. Kalamazoo Pride Pageant.

The Doo-Dah Parade rolls through downtown at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, with the theme of Disney Pixar movies.

The KIA Arts Fair is open free to all in Bronson Park on Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 5-6 is set to be an action-packed weekend all over the Kalamazoo area.

First up, the return of Kalamazoo Pride, beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 5. Everyone is welcome to attend this event headlined by music performances from hip-hop artist Infinite Coles and glam-rock band Tony and the Kiki. Also catch the annual Ms./Mx./Mr. Kalamazoo Pride Pageant. Festivities will take place at Arcadia Creek Festival Place.

The famous Doo-Dah Parade makes its way through downtown starting a 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6. Celebrating unique themes, people dressed in costumes and everything in between, the event is a tribute to the satire of the mundane. This year's theme is Disney Pixar movies, with the parade loop beginning just north of the Bronson Hospital on Lovell Street.

Also, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair is open to all with free admission in historic Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo Friday and Saturday, set to welcome more than 17,000 visitors to showcase artists from across the state and U.S.
