Y’all! This is epic!!
We are beyond excited to announce a night of immersive experimental sound and dreamy ambient music with one of our all-time favorites and true legends of the genre, Windy & Carl!!
For more than 30 years, Windy & Carl have created expansive, deeply immersive music that has helped define ambient, drone, shoegaze, and space rock. Their work has been released by kranky, recognized by Pitchfork as among the greatest ambient and shoegaze albums ever made, and continues to influence generations of artists. After spending much of the last decade away from the stage, they have returned for a limited run of performances, and we’re incredibly honored to welcome them to Glow Hall.
Opening the evening is Chicago’s Zelienople, whose hypnotic blend of slow-moving experimental rock, ambient textures, and improvisation has quietly made them one of the most respected underground bands of the past two decades. Their newest album, Everything is Simple, is out now on Shelter Press.
The night begins with a special opening set from DJ Karl Meier, whose deep knowledge of electronic and experimental music has led him to share stages with artists including Surgeon, Monolake, and Jeff Mills. His sets move fluidly between ambient, techno, and experimental sound, setting the perfect tone for the evening.

Glenn Jones comes to Glow Hall on Wednesday, September 23, with 2 opening sets by Liam Grant and Kalamazoo Drone Society.
First known for his work with the genre-defying rock group Cul de Sac, Glenn Jones has gone on to become one of the defining American Primitive guitarists of the early 21st century. His solo work is deeply melodic, physical, and exacting, carrying the weight of folk tradition without treating it like a museum piece.
Liam Grant is a New England guitarist and improviser working from the same wide-open American Primitive lineage, with restless guitar explorations, modal epics, and uptempo rags that recall John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Peter Walker, and Jack Rose.
Opening the night, local treasures Kalamazoo Drone Society brings together a rotating collective of Kalamazoo musicians, artists, and magicians for occasionally structured, experimental free improvisation.
This is a seated event.

We are beyond excited to announce that Half Gringa has joined the bill for BODY SOUND at Glow Hall.
Based in Chicago, Half Gringa is the project of Isabel Olive. Her work moves between indie rock, folk, experimental pop, and collage-like sound design, combining intimate songwriting with found sounds, field recordings, and unexpected textures. Her most recent work has pushed even further into composition and sonic experimentation while remaining rooted in song.
Presented in partnership with International Anthem, BODY SOUND brings together Whitney Johnson, Lia Kohl, and Macie Stewart, three artists working at the edges of composition, improvisation, sound, and song. Half Gringa joins the evening as a special opening set.

Official Claire comes to Glow Hall from Chicago on Friday, July 10, with Wilburn, Keener Family, and Sleeping Inn.
Official Claire is a Chicago-based songwriting project led by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Claire. Her songs move through indie rock, folk, and left-of-center pop, built around guitar, voice, melody, plainspoken lyrics, humor, and direct emotional detail.
Her live band includes LeRoy Bach, formerly of Wilco. Bach played with Wilco during the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born era, and has described Official Claire as one of his favorite new songwriters, pointing to the wit, mischief, and hooks in her songs. Friday, July 10, 2026

BIG NEWS Y’ALL! Ticket sales begin Friday Morning at 10am!! —————————————- ————————————————-Pedro The Lion comes to Glow Hall on Monday, July 20 with Advance Base!
For thirty years, David Bazan has been writing about belief, doubt, guilt, memory, failure, and what happens when the things that once held a life together begin to come apart. From It’s Hard to Find a Friend and Control through the later autobiographical records Phoenix, Havasu, and Santa Cruz, Pedro The Lion has remained one of American indie rock’s most direct and quietly devastating projects.
The songs can feel plainspoken on the surface, then suddenly cut much deeper than expected. Bazan writes about faith, family, work, disappointment, and the strange grace of trying to stay human inside ordinary life. The anniversary shows are not just a look back at thirty years of songs. They are a continuation of a body of work that still feels active, searching, and alive.
Advance Base opens the night. Owen Ashworth returns to Glow Hall, and we could not be more excited. We are huge fans of his work and have followed it since the Casiotone for the Painfully Alone days. His songs carry their own world of lonely keyboards, small details, dry humor, and heavy feeling, making this a perfect pairing.
