The station parking lot and apparatus apron have deteriorated to the point where continued patching is no longer the most cost-effective solution. A full replacement would provide a safer, longer-lasting surface for emergency vehicles, staff, and visitors while also allowing for ADA-compliant parking improvements. Inside the station, a grit-surface coating on the apparatus bay floors would help reduce slip-and-fall hazards and improve firefighter safety. These are the types of facility improvements the proposed 2026 Fire Millage could help address.
