There’s an extra seat at the table… and it could become the start of a life-changing friendship. ❤️

Opening your home to an exchange student is more than hosting. It’s sharing traditions, creating memories, and giving a student a place to belong during the 2026–2027 school year. https://bit.ly/3JyEqQi

You don’t have to be perfect to make a difference. You just have to be willing to open your heart and home. 🌎 Your extra seat at the table could change a teen's future.

Some people solve equations. Some people help everyone around them. Raphaela said, “Why not both?” 👏🇩🇪

Two brothers. Two completely different American experiences. One unforgettable journey. 🇩🇪🇺🇸

German twins Christopher and Jonathan arrived in the United States for the 2025/2026 school year and were placed in two very different worlds — Christopher in big-city Florida and Jonathan in small-town Texas. Despite the contrast in lifestyles, communities, and experiences, both boys flourished in extraordinary ways.

Christopher quickly became known not only for his academic excellence as a straight-A student, but also for his incredible athletic talent, in his small town of about 5K in TX. He helped put his high school tennis program on the map, earning 1st place in Districts and Regionals and finishing 2nd overall in State competition. Beyond the trophies and medals, his host family says his leadership, strong morals, and joyful personality left a lasting impact on their family, school, and community. What began as a semester stay soon turned into a full-year extension and then another because the bond formed was simply too special to end early.

Meanwhile, Jonathan’s story began with a spontaneous Facebook post and a family willing to say “YES” to something completely unexpected. From the moment he arrived, he blended seamlessly into his Florida host family’s life, becoming not just an exchange student, but truly another son and brother. Whether cheering him on in soccer and tennis, sharing holidays and vacations, or laughing together over Disney trips and Buc-ee’s stops, Jonathan became woven into the fabric of their family and community. His host family describes him as the son they never knew they had and says hosting him became one of the greatest blessings their family has ever experienced.

Though their experiences looked very different on paper, both Christopher and Jonathan remind us of the true beauty of cultural exchange: meaningful relationships, personal growth, lifelong memories, and families that extend across the world.

These stories are a beautiful reminder that no matter where a student is placed — whether in a bustling city or a quiet small town, lives are changed forever on both sides of the exchange experience. ❤️

Not all heroes wear capes. Some drive exchange students everywhere. ❤️ Great job Raphaela and Sinead for treating your Host Mom, Rachael, to Dunkin Doughnuts! 🙌

Hosting is about more than cultural exchange—it’s about building real relationships, sharing everyday life, and creating connections that last a lifetime!
