Round two of painting the south side of the house. This week with a rental lift, non-stop effort and hopes that the weather holds for us.

So until it’s outdoor painting season, Peter’s project is getting the parlor down to blank slate and amending the sins of past owners. There’s also a parquet floor rehab in the mix.

What was meant to be Luna moth green looked like peacock feather blue wet. We’re working on liking it.

We are terrible at remembering before photos. This will someday be a “master” bathroom, tiny though it may be. This is after atrocious peeling wallpaper, chipping ugly vinyl floor, a janky over-toilet cabinet, and a barely flushing toilet were removed. New toilet, corner priming done. Next up is finding a new vanity, wall repair, paint and something quick and easy on the floor, in case we ever get around to the full remodel.

A portion of the soffit, where it was cut through so the exterior staircase framing could be attached to the house. Helpful to see how each piece contributes to the overall profile. Also, if you zoom in on the end of the round in the center of the photo, you'll see a small friend who was keeping me company this afternoon.
